John “Jack” Irvin Hendershot, 87, of Fayetteville, Georgia passed away at home on December 10, 2023. He was born on December 7, 1936, in Barton, Ohio.
John, also known as Jack to relatives and close friends, lived a simple life filled with countless cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
John’s career was in the aviation maintenance field with Eastern Airlines and Airtran. He carried that work into his pastime by toying with general aviation. He bought and sold several aircraft during his lifetime.
Throughout his life, John touched the lives of many through his various endeavors. He was a dedicated family man, and a loyal friend. John’s generosity knew no bounds, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
John is survived by his loving family, including his loving and caring wife of 69 years, Charlotte; his four children, Charlotte (Tim) Legarth, John (Vickie) Hendershot, Dan (Becky) Hendershot, and Kathy (Jeff) Mcleod; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the Kingdom Hall, 128 Lester Road in Fayetteville, Georgia.
