The Public Relations Department of Fayette County Public Schools received two awards from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) for its communication efforts during the 2022-2023 school year.

Public Information Officer Melinda Berry-Dreisbach accepted Golden Achievement Awards for the marketing plan for the ESPLOST V renewal and the International Baccalaureate program at Sandy Creek High.

The NSPRA’s Golden Achievement Award recognizes outstanding, strategic work in all aspects of school public relations, communication, marketing, and engagement. Winning entries are recognized nationally and receive awards at the NSPRA National Seminar each year.

Only 123 Golden Achievement Awards were awarded nationally, and Fayette County Public Schools was one of only two school systems in Georgia to win the award.
