Music educators were treated to a performance from local artists at their recent state conference. The J.C. Booth Middle 8th grade orchestra was invited to perform at the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) Conference in late January.

Booth was one of just two middle schools in the state to be selected to perform at the conference. In order to be selected, they submitted an audition tape last spring to the Georgia Music Educators Association.

At the conference they performed “Blue Rhythmico,” “Basses Loaded,” “Habanera” with Booth drama teacher Kathryn Flint as soloist, “Colors of Home,” and “Warrior Legacy.”

The young Warriors are led by Director of Orchestras Amanda Moran.
