Delta Sigma Theta Sorority supports Families in Transition

Thanks to the generosity of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, families in Fayette County experiencing homelessness will receive a helping hand.

The East Point/College Park Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has donated $3,500 to the Fayette County Public Schools Student Services Department for their Families in Transition Program.

The Families in Transition program provides comprehensive services to children and youth attending Fayette County Public Schools who are experiencing homelessness. The program ensures enrollment and educational stability for homeless children and youth. It provides enrollment assistance, transportation assistance, academic support, after school enrichment, school supplies, and community resources.
