It’s not quite autumn until Crabapple Lane Elementary hosts their annual fall festival for the Cardinal community.
The fall festival is an evening of fun for all of the Crabapple Lane students, staff, families, and friends. There was a full menu of activities, including inflatables, carnival games, pony rides, professional photo booth, rock climbing wall, cake walk, wacky hair station, sand art, and face painting. There was also a DJ, and even dinner and snack options for sale, like Partners Pizza and cotton candy.
A favorite of the parents, a silent auction featured a basket from each classroom up for bid. They were filled with unique activities or events at school, like a picnic lunch with the 2nd grade teachers or a pizza party with specials teachers.
“Our teachers were so creative, and our kids were so excited,” said parent Lisa Albritton, who headed up the fall festival efforts.
All of the activities were supported by teacher and parent volunteers, as well as local Beta Club students from the surrounding middle and high schools. All proceeds go straight back to the Crabapple Lane PTO, whose goal is to support the school’s teachers with the extra resources and programs they want to enhance the learning of students.
