A Peachtree City man was arrested Feb. 11 for striking his girlfriend in the head and face, trying to force her to have oral sex with him, preventing her from calling 911 and barricading his apartment door to prevent her leaving.

Zachary A. Kukec, 18, was charged with felony false imprisonment, harassing communications, battery, interfering with a 911 call and obstruction, according to Fayette County Jail records. Peachtree City Police Department spokesman Chris Hyatt said the Feb. 11 incident unfolded when Kukec convinced his girlfriend to come to his apartment to talk about issues between them.

It was during the visit that the two began arguing, and at some point Kukec took her cell phone and put inappropriate items on social media, then refused to return her phone, Hyatt said.

It was during the incident that Kukec struck the woman in the head and face, tried unsuccessfully to remove her clothes and tried unsuccessfully to force her to have oral sex, Hyatt said.

Also during the incident, Kukec barricaded the door and refused to let the woman leave, said Hyatt, adding that the girlfriend was able to obtain Kukec’s phone and put it in emergency mode, then hid it in the couch.

With the phone on emergency mode, the 911 operator asked for and was given the incorrect apartment number by Kukec, Hyatt added.

Hyatt said officers responding to the scene could hear a woman screaming and made contact with the two, after which Kukec was placed under arrest.

Hyatt said Kukec was involved in a prior incident on Jan. 19 in which he used pink spray paint to write derogatory words on his girlfriend’s vehicle.
