The AgSouth Farm Credit Griffin Branch was proud to sponsor four local youth to attend camp at Rock Eagle 4-H Center this summer. AgSouth donated over $800 to support youth from Fayette, Henry, and Spalding this year.

Fayette County 4-H Agent Candace Goldbeck stated, “Camp can be expensive and scholarships can help kids who need extra support. We are thankful for AgSouth who invests in our kids regardless of the finances.”

According to Spalding County 4-H Agent Leah Woodall, “Community support of 4-Her’s being able to attend camp is such a vital and treasured connection. Campers who would not be able to attend without funding assistance are grateful for the opportunity and make memories that will last a lifetime.”

Henry County 4-H Agent Gage Williams explained, “It was really important, especially this year that kids got out of the house and got to experience going new places and meeting new people. The sponsorships that AgSouth provided helped get them hooked on 4-H and learn and grow as youth.”

AgSouth Farm Credit not only provides loans for land, farms, and homes but also is proud to support local community groups and organizations. Regional Vice President, Ricky Grice has supported local 4-H groups for the past several years but was excited to be able to donate more this year for 4-H camp scholarships due to other canceled events. Scholarships were chosen by the 4-H staff in each county and were based on financial need as well as 4-H involvement.
