A Peachtree City man is in custody on charges of making terroristic threats and simple assault after threatening to kill his girlfriend and her children during a Nov. 22 argument in their home.
Mario L. Thomas, 42, was charged with four counts or terroristic threats and acts and four counts of simple assault, according to Fayette County Jail records.
Peachtree City Police Department spokesman Chris Hyatt said Thomas lives with his girlfriend and her three children, whose ages range from pre-teens to mid-teens.
Hyatt said that while the couple were arguing on Nov. 22, Thomas removed his gun from the holster, racked it and told the woman he was going to kill her and her children.
The woman subsequently contacted police, who found that Thomas had left the home when they arrived.
Officers were at the home on Nov. 23 when Thomas arrived, and took him into custody, Hyatt said.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
