More than 100 virtual choirs from nations and cities around the world have produced a phenomenon known as “The Blessing.”
The Citizen will post these multi-national and multi-lingual versions on a regular basis, most based on Numbers 6:24–26:
THE LORD BLESS YOU
AND KEEP YOU;
THE LORD MAKE HIS FACE SHINE ON YOU
AND BE GRACIOUS TO YOU;
THE LORD TURN HIS FACE TOWARD YOU
AND GIVE YOU PEACE.
For the story behind “The Blessing,” read the article in Christianity Today.
From the YouTube description of this video:
THE BLESSING [KIDS] Recorded in 5 days during ‘lockdown’ in May 2020, and featuring children from the UK, USA, NZ, AUS, SA and many other nations , ‘The Blessing (Kids)’ unites the voices of children to sing these powerful words of scripture over friends, family, cities and our world. A huge thank you to ALL the children who were a part of the project – whether on video or just their voices. You were all amazing!
