Jerri Ann Terry (Howard), went to Heaven to be with her Savior on February 16, 2020 at the age of 78. Her battle with vascular dementia came to a peaceful close Sunday morning where she passed in her sleep at Hope Memory Center in Fayetteville, Georgia.

She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and “Nana” to her family and loved ones. Jerri Ann was a hard worker and loved being outside working in the yard and her garden. She could often be found cutting neighbors’ yards and helping them out with their outside work. She was an active member of her church and choir. She loved to sing and listen to gospel music.

Jerri Ann was born to the late Bert and Pauline Howard on July 9, 1941 in Brantley County, Georgia. She was the youngest of two children.

Jerri Ann was married to George Talmadge Terry in 1961. They had three children, Gregory, Missy and Phillip. Jerri Ann was educated in the Pierce County School System and attended Georgia Baptist School of Nursing.

She worked many years for West Point Pepperell as a Workman’s Compensation Fraud Investigator. She later worked for Dr. Walter Mills Dentist practice in Fayetteville, as an Office Manager. She later went on to work for Stein Mart in Peachtree City, Georgia as a Sales Associate in the men’s department.

Jerri Ann was preceded in death by her husband, George on October 21, 2011; in-laws, George (Doris) Terry; and her nephew, Jason Howard.

She is survived by her brother, Lawrence (Wanda) Howard, of Patterson, GA; her children, Greg (Sandi) Terry, of Atlanta, GA, Missy (Randall) Coppolino, of Fayetteville, GA, and Phillip (Teresa) Terry, of White, GA; grandchildren, Tiffany (Chris) Mize, Nicholas (Sandy) Terry, Taylor, Hunter and Graham Coppolino, Payton, Kendall and Preslee Terry; great-grandchildren, Emilee, Savannah and Dawson Mize and Camila Terry; and her niece, Pam (Mike) Walsh.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. A graveside funeral service will be held in Patterson, Georgia at Laura Chapel Baptist Church, where she will be laid to rest with her husband, parents, and nephew.
