Dan Anthony Arnett, 71, of Fayetteville passed away on December 13, 2019. He was born on December 13, 1948 in Bowling Green, KY to the late W.D. and Pauline Arnett. Dan was an active member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren.
Dan graduated from Western Kentucky University and then joined the United States Air Force. He flew the HH-3 Jolly Green Giant and was a T38 instructor pilot. He joined the Federal Aviation Administration in 1984 and relocated to Fayetteville, Georgia. Dan retired from the FAA Atlanta Regional Office in 2011. He was active in the Fayette Civitans, Fayette Samaritans, and bowling with friends.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Brenda Arnett; daughters, Lauren Uyesugi (Dan) of Marietta and Alicia Loadholt (Justin) of Cumming; eight grandchildren, Daniel, Peter, Rachael, and Thomas Uyesugi, Lucy, Kate, Emma, and John Loadholt; brother, Jim Arnett of Bowling Green, KY; sister, Danna Stevens of Spring, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on December 18, 2019 in the Overton Chapel at Fayetteville First Baptist Church, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
