Fayette Senior Services, Inc. (FSS) will be hosting local organizations to connect with those interested in volunteering in the community at their fifth annual Volunteer Expo. The expo will be held on Wednesday, September 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the FSS Life Enrichment Center, 4 Center Drive Fayetteville.

Admission is free.

For organizations that utilize volunteers, the skills and resources these remarkable individuals contribute make the world of difference in providing services to our community. This expo will give individuals interested in giving back and volunteering a chance to come to one central location and speak with a wide range of community-based organizations to discover which one fits their interests and passions. Each organization will be showcasing volunteer and advocacy opportunities they have available where you can help make a difference.

“Volunteers are so essential to what we do at Fayette Senior Services, and we truly understand the value that these selfless individuals give day in and day out,” Carrie Bittinger, Volunteer Coordinator for Fayette Senior Services, shares. “The Volunteer Expo is a great way to show people in our community the volunteer opportunities that are available at FSS and throughout the community, so they can give back!”

FSS expresses their gratitude and appreciation for all volunteers who share their talents throughout the community and recognize that a volunteer makes an incredible difference for any organization they work with and their time and effort never goes unnoticed.

Participating organizations include Fayette Senior Services, Heartis, Christian City, Precious Hospice, City of Peachtree City Recreations & Special Events, Fayette Humane Society, Real Life Center, Piedmont Fayette Auxiliary, Peachtree City Library, Southern Conservation Trust, Advo-Kids CASA, For Home Matters Home Care, Clothes Less Traveled, and Bloom Our Youth, The Eden Project, American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, and Fayette County Library.
