The Fayette County High School varsity boys basketball team will be playing in the Region 5 AAAAA State Championship game this Friday, March 8, at 8 p.m. in Macon, Ga. “This is FCHS’ first run for our Varsity Boys Basketball team since our 2008 State Championship game against Southwest DeKalb High School. Since the Citizen’s not going to say anything else about the game, Tigers lost 76-69 after a hard fought game. Thanks Citizen for the in depth coverage of a great year for a county team.
