Thursday decisions could bring 145 homes, 270 apartments to Fayetteville; also on council agenda: first phase of Piedmont Fayette Hospital expansion —

The Feb. 21 meeting of the Fayetteville City Council could see the culmination of a number of proposals that have been working their way through the decision-making process for months.

Expected to be up for a vote are development proposals for a subdivision from Fayette Ventures, a parking expansion at Piedmont Fayette Hospital, a mixed-use development at Grady Avenue and Beauregard Boulevard and an office complex near the hospital on Ga. Highway 54 West.

The Fayette Ventures proposal would establish a subdivision on 67 acres bordered by Ga. Highway 92 and the Ga. Highway 92 Connector on the city’s south side.

Developer Bob Rolader is requesting a single-family subdivision of 145 homes with an 1,800 sq. ft. minimum.

The Piedmont Fayette Hospital proposal would rezone 22.6 acres northwest of the hospital for the addition of 234 parking spaces.

The proposal by Walton Communities near Grady Avenue and Beauregard Boulevard would rezone 30.52 acres for a mixed-use development that would include 270 apartments, some retail and an as yet undetermined number of single-family homes.

The office complex proposal would have 31.55 acres near the Togwatee Village commercial area on Hwy. 54 West rezoned for office use.
