Bob Huntley, 70, of Peachtree City passed away on January 9, 2019.

Bob was born near Cleveland, Ohio in a small Lake Erie coastal town called Avon Lake on October 13, 1948, to the late Sidney C. and Geneva P. Huntley. Bob attended Lorain County Community College before joining Merrill Lynch operations where he met his wife. Shortly after, he began a sales career in International Freight Forwarding and Custom Brokerage, where he would spend the rest of his 40 year career before retiring from UPS in 2013. He was a Mason in Lakewood, Ohio prior to joining Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City, Ga. in 1991.

Bob loved sports and coaching. Through coaching and his career, he was able to mentor others by providing business style life skills and goal setting, while inspiring them to give their absolute best in everything they do. He enjoyed international travel, vacationing with family, and visiting national parks around the U.S.

Bob is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy; three children, Lisa Huntley of Peachtree City, Ga., Amy (Cpt. James) Broeker of Brandenburg, Ky., and Matt (Sara) Huntley of Rincon, Ga.; grandchildren, Taylor Huntley, Marissa Huntley, Abigail Broeker, Elisabeth Huntley, Connor Broeker, and John Matthew Huntley; brother, S. Ronald (Patricia) Huntley of Athens, Ohio; sister, Susan (Larry) Huntley of Sun City, Ariz.; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and good friends.  Family was treasured by Bob.

A memorial mass will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City.  Interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens.  Family and friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon following the services.  The family will receive visitors on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City.

Bob’s sense of humor was adored by many people, and he never met a stranger. He always made an effort to smile, support his family, and be an active role model to all around him.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, but we know he will constantly be watching over us.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the American Lung Association or St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.

LIFE IS GOOD, PRAYERS ARE BEST!
