After the elections, some wishful thinking

Now that the election is over:

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the newly elected government would actually work to represent the whole country instead of the 50.001 percent that elected them?

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the newly elected officials would first sit down with the opposition and figure out together how to make our state, our federal government better for everyone?

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we lost the “I win, you lose attitude so I can ram my views down your throat”?

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could discuss all the programs being enacted for all the people, instead of mindlessly saying I’m a member of one party and dismiss any other view as beneath contempt.

I know, wishful thinking.

Oh! I thought that is how is America is supposed to work.
