Linda Arlene Boggus Donaldson, 78, of Sharpsburg, passed away November 3, 2018, at home with her family by her side.
She was born to the late Newis and Flora Boggus, May 7, 1940 in Moultrie, Georgia. After relocating with her family to Fitzgerald, Georgia, Linda graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1958 and then studied nursing at Crawford W. Long Nursing School in Atlanta, Georgia.
She was married to the late Lavon Donaldson and is survived by her sister Shirley Davenport, son Colonel Stephen Keith Donaldson (USAF) and his wife Donna, daughter Toni Lee Dyer and her husband Brad, grandchildren Captain Stephen Gregory Donaldson (USAF) and his wife Dinah, Sydney Donaldson Ellington and her husband Britton, Zachary Joel Dyer, Stuart Keith Donaldson, Natalie Kay Dyer, Mason Phillip Dyer and many nephews and nieces.
Linda had a true passion and dedication for helping those in need. From a young immigrant family trying to get on their feet in a new land to a stray animal searching for a “forever family,” Linda engaged to make a difference and to make our world a better place. A patriotic American who loved her country, she was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren and leaves behind a legacy of placing the needs of others before her own.
In keeping with her desire to keep life simple, there will not be a memorial or funeral service; however, the family requests that Linda’s friends make a donation to BullyWag animal rescue via PayPal at [email protected], in lieu of sending flowers.
