Local player shines in national tourney

The GA Firecrackers finished third in the PGF national 16-U softball tournament in San Diego.

The starting second baseman for the team is Lauren Flanders (#12), who is entering her sophomore year at Starr’s Mill High School.

The Firecrackers lost to the top two teams by only one run in each game.
