Dorothy (Dee) A. Parker of Peachtree City, Ga. died Saturday June 23 following a car accident.
She was born in Fort Riley, Kan. to Melvin and Beatrice Jahnke.
Dee had a sweet gentle spirit and loved people and four legged friends often stopping to give pets and treats whenever she was out and about. Dee was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed traveling with Buster to races each year. Dee was a supportive military wife traveling with Buster during his Naval career from coast to coast spending many of her loved years on the Hawaiian Islands. Following Buster’s Naval retirement, Dee moved to Peachtree City where she enjoyed riding in their golf cart and spending time with the many dogs and fur babies she passionately cared for.
Survived by her loving husband of 33 years Buster Parker; mother, Beatrice Gengenbach; sisters, Harriet Hanson, Audrey Muldoon, Janet Witcher, Mildred Keleman; nieces, Julie (Jason) DuPriest, Alissa (Kristen) Muldoon; nephews, Mike Hanson, Jake (Alex) Witcher, Geoffery Keleman. Grand Niece Taylor DuPriest.
Predeceased by her father, Melvin Jahnke.
Memorial Service will by Saturday June 30 at 10 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church 575 Fischer Road, Sharpsburg, Ga. 30277. Family will receive guests following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Dee’s name to Faith Lutheran Church Building Fund.
