Mrs. Jean S. Koon, age 103 of Fayetteville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 16, 2018 surrounded by her family.

A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. Koon was born on December 5, 1914, the daughter of the late Daniel and Helen Vincoli Scutaro. She was a retired beautician and was a member of the Word of God Lutheran Church of Peachtree City. She loved to crochet afghans for infants, family and friends.

Mrs. Koon was preceded in death by her parents, and by her first husband and father of her children, Mr. James S. Clark, Sr., who died in 1952 and by her second husband, Mr. George W. Koon, who died in 1990.

She is survived by her son, James K. Clark, Jr. and his wife, Denise; her daughter, Linda Hopkins; her brother, Matty Scutaro; her sister, Margaret Bolden; and one granddaughter, Angela Scutaro.

A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Koon being with Jesus will be conducted on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, Ga., with The Rev. Dr. Jeffray Greene and Pastor Miriam Beecher officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Forest Park, Ga.  The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
