Achilles (Peter) Pappas, aged 72 died peacefully on June 10, 2018 in the comfort of his home after a short struggle with cancer and Alzheimer’s. He was born on January 13, 1947 in Berwyn Ill., the son of Peter E. Pappas and Rita P. Arvas.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Gloria Pappas; daughters Angela and Stephanie; son in law Bill; grandchildren JoAnna (Angel), Peter, and Samantha; brother George (Ann) Pappas; brother in laws John Cornwell and Gus Trizis; sister in law Elaine Pappas; and many other loving relatives and close friends.
He was a family man and would do anything and everything for his loved ones. He spent the majority of his life doing what he loved most, cooking and caring for his wife and family. He never met a stranger.
The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 14 at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory, Peachtree City.
