Mr. James (Jim) J. Golden of Peachtree City, Ga., passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the age of 84.

Jim was born to parents James J. Golden and Irene Doherty on December 2, 1933 in Arlington, MA. He grew up with three sisters and attended Arlington High School. Jim proudly served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War, honorably discharged in 1954.  In 1957, he met and married the love of his life, Jane Naomi Kaser. In 1958, Jim started his career with Eaton Paper Corporation as a sales representative.  After many moves and promotions, he retired from Duo-Tang, Inc. as Vice-President.

Jim’s favorite pastimes include playing golf with friends and family, rooting for his beloved Red Sox, Bruins, and Patriots, and volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Jim is survived by his wife Jane; sisters Jean (Larry) Flynn, Patricia Sullivan and Virginia White; Daughter Kathryn (Greg) Thesing and sons, James J (Nancy) Golden, Timothy (Joan) Golden, and John (Denise) Golden.  “Gramps,” “Grandfather,” and “Pop-pop,” was survived by 8 grand children, Erin, Claire, Benjamin, Jennifer, Carolyn, Shane, Sarah, and Natalie. He is preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral service will be held Monday February 5, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (101 Walt Banks Road Peachtree City, Georgia (770) 487-7672) at 11:00 a.m.  The family is grateful for the condolences.
