Sherry D. Bateman, 69, of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018.  She was born in Sheffield, Ala. on November 22, 1948 to Thelma Louise and Charles Dailey.

She was a member of Lisbon Baptist  Church in Fayetteville.  She was deeply loved by her family and all who knew her and will be deeply missed by all.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and survived by her husband of 48 years, John W. Bateman; her daughter, Stacy (Brian) Malone; her son, Johnny (Brandy) Bateman; and three grandchildren, Hailey and Hannah Malone and Trey Brantley.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in the Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Pastor David Rathbun officiating.  Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville.  The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
