Margaret Andrea Dillingham, 47, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 20, 2017.

She was born in Decatur, Ga. on June 4, 1970 to Kendra and Michael Hipps, Sr. She was a 1988 graduate of Jonesboro High School, received her bachelor’s degree at Georgia State University and her master’s degree and specialist degree at West Georgia College. She was currently serving as administrator/director of MainStay Academy.

Andrea was a devoted wife, loving mother, fun-loving sister, and wonderful daughter. She was affectionately known by her family as “Queen Bee.” She loved teaching her “babies” and was a constant encourager to everyone.  Andrea was also an avid motorcyclist.

Andrea is survived by her husband of 12 years, Wendell A. Dillingham; her sons, Alex (Rachel) Todd and Evan Todd; her daughter Taylor Todd; her brothers, Michael Hipps, Jr. and Jeffrey (Patricia) Hipps; her mother and father, Kendra and Mike Hipps, Sr.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

There will be a gathering of friends and family from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. The family lovingly requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers, they request donations in Andrea’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, https://www.stjude.org.
