Carmen J. Patriarca, Sr., 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 16, 2017, in Peachtree City, Georgia.

Carmen was born on January 5, 1931, in Ashtabula, Ohio, to the late Egidio and Louise Rocco Patriarca.  He was a conductor for Conrail Railroad at the time of his retirement in 1981, after more than 30 years of service.  Carmen’s special interests and hobbies included gardening, golfing, fishing, and playing cards.  As an Italian gentleman he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carmen is survived by four children: Bonita Ann and her husband David Hayes, Gina and her husband David Ritchie, Victoria and her husband Patrick DiChiro, and Carmen J. Jr. and his wife Tracey Patriarca.  He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Matthew (Sonya) Hayes, Mallory (Nicholas) Aliff, Alex Ritchie, Becca Ritchie, Krista Ritchie, Natalie DiChiro, Carley (David) Crawley, and Niki Patriarca; eight great grandchildren, Julia Hayes, Kara Hayes, Jackson Aliff, Rosalyn Aliff, Kaelyn Crawley, Hunter Crawley, Maddox Crawley, and Carmella Patriarca; a sister, Elizabeth Ciepiel, and a brother, Dr. Jerry Patriarca both of Ohio.   

He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Patriarca.

Friends and family were invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Monday, October 23, 2017, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was laid to rest at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City, Georgia.  The family greeted friends after the burial at Holy Trinity Church.
