Nolan sets run for Fayetteville Council post

A political newcomer is the first to announce for the Fayetteville City Council seat being vacated by Jim Williams.

Brett Nolan,35, was born in Fayetteville, but has had family in Fayetteville for generations. Nolan moved to Fayetteville in 2011 and was a member of the city’s comprehensive plan steering committee. He is also a regular attendee at City Council meetings.

On his website, votebrettnolan.com, Nolan said the city needs more options for post-secondary education, a renewed effort in code and sign ordinance enforcement and a dog park for the city.
