Raymond “Ray” Wilson Harris, 69, of Greenville, Ga. passed away July 28, 2017.
He was born on January 16, 1948 in Atlanta, Ga. to Wilson and Velma Harris. Ray loved the outdoors, especially squirrel and rabbit hunting. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Ray is preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his sons, Spencer (Denise) Harris of Peachtree City, Ga. and Danny Harris of Gulfport, Miss.; grandchildren, Dylan, Jacob, Morgan, Logan, Kenet, Austin, and Grace; mother, Marjorie Harris of Fayetteville; sister, Mary Lynn (Lamar) Cox of Fayetteville; niece, Teresa Cox; and nephews, Tim (Michelle) Cox and Todd (Haley) Cox.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Reverend Scott Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Fairburn, Ga. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2017 at the funeral home.
