Jane Jones (82) passed away on July 12, 2017 in Peachtree City, Ga. She was born on Feb. 22, 1935 in Pensacola, Fla. to the late Ralph Hughes Schultz (D-1965) and Mary “Dee” (Miller) Schultz (D-1995).
Jane was a military/airline wife living in Corpus Christie, Texas, Chicago, Ill., Springfield, Va. and Peachtree City, Ga. before returning home in the early 1980s. She was a music teacher in Springfield and Peachtree City.
Jane enjoyed meeting up with the friends she grew up with that are still in the area for reunions or just for lunch.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ralph Elwood Schultz (D – 1985); her nephew, Rodney Schultz (D-2004); and her ex-husband, Wendell “Bud” Jones (D – 2017).
Jane is survived by her sons, Mark (Teresa) Jones, Brad (Barb) Jones and Brian Jones; grandchildren; Nicki (Shane) Gillispie, Jacki (Jason) Woodward, Mandi (Erik) Willanzheimer, Taelor Jones, Kilea Jones and Michael Jones; great grandchildren, Gavin & Averi Gillispie and Jaxon & Jayci Woodward; sister-in-law, Jeannie Schultz; nephews, Craig Schultz, Rick Schultz and Stacey Schultz; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with Rev. Charles Shearer officiating. Burial followed in the family plot at Clopton Cemetery, Pensacola, Fla. The family received friends 10 a.m. prior to services.
