Mrs. Thelma Peek Sears, age 91, went to be with the Lord in her eternal resting place on Monday, June 5, 2017. She was with her daughter, Sue Bedenbaugh when she died.
There was a graveside service Monday, June 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Fairburn, Ga. The family received friends Monday before the service at Parrott Funeral Home & Crematory, 8355 Senoia Rd., Fairburn, Ga. from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
Mrs. Sears was preceded in death by her parents Henry J. Peek and Jewell Eidson Peek; husband, John F. Sears; brothers, James Peek, Raymond Peek, Clovis Peek, and Willis Peek; sisters, Clara Bomar and Mildred Foster.
Mrs. Sears is survived by her only daughter, Sue Sears Bedenbaugh (Howard); granddaughters, Sonya Hill and Cheryl Oswalt (Jon); grandson, Johnny Johnson (Sandy); great granddaughters, Linda Hill, Jessica Holder (Brian), Jamie Oswalt, and Christina Schwarztrauber (Jesse); great-great grandson, Joey Holder and great-great granddaughter, River Cadence Schwarztrauber. Many beloved nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Her beloved sitter of two years Phillis Williams who was like a member of the family. The family of Mrs. Sears would like to also thank her caring nurses, LaTanya Simmons, Patricia Martin, and LuTisha Hall.
Mrs. Sears worked for Ford Motor Company for 37 years. She loved gardening and flowers of all kinds. She loved watching the birds, especially cardinals. She was a member of Jefferson Ave. Baptist Church in East Point, Ga. Mrs. Sears was loved by all who knew her. She was a gentle spirit who loved the Lord.
