Judith “Judy” Casey Knight, 70, of Fayetteville passed away on April 30, 2017.
She was born in Inman, S.C. on December 2, 1946 to the late Dan and Mary Casey. Judy was a ballet, tap, and jazz dance teacher for many years at Hutcheson Dance Academy in Morrow, Ga. Later she was an aerobics instructor and program director for Richard Simmons Anatomy Asylum.
Judy was an active member of Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church. She was an excellent Bible study teacher and prayer warrior. She spent countless hours reading and was a true student of the Bible. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to seven grandchildren. She enjoyed writing, fishing, and spending time with all of her family.
Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Casey and her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Larry N. Knight; son, Mike (Cynthia) Knight of Grayson; daughter, Lori (Dan) Graddy of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Daniel, Tyler, Sydney, Riley, SeAnna, Ansley, and Andrew; brother, Randy (Lee) Casey of Jonesboro; sister, Cindy (John) Zingarelli of Lilburn; sister-in-law, Meg Casey of Newnan; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Harps Crossing Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Watson and Reverend Dan Graddy officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
