Several municipalities joined forces for a successful food drive benefiting Midwest Food Bank during the recent holiday season.

County employees enrolled in UGA Management Development Program collected 1,340 pounds of nonperishable food items in Fayette, Spalding, Newton, Fulton, Coweta and Sumter counties. The Management Development Program is a 20-week long leadership development training for county administrators and the Class of 2017 includes 18 county managers representing six Georgia counties.

The Midwest Food Bank – Georgia Division is located in Peachtree City and the food collected is shared with more than 200 nonprofit organizations in 42 counties.
