An employee at the Fayetteville Waffle House on North Glynn Street was arrested on Jan. 15 after an altercation with a customer.

Angelique Mathews, 39, of Jonesboro, was charged with simple assault and obstruction, according to Fayette County Jail records.

Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Mike Whitlow said a customer was not satisfied with the service and began cursing at Mathews. Mathews had a knife in her hand and subsequently threw a phone at the customer, said Whitlow.

Officers arrived at the scene and Mathews was arrested, Whitlow said.
