A Peachtree City woman was arrested on Dec. 17 on charges of trespassing after she was found standing next to the bed of a sleeping man.
Tricia Jones, 45, of Valley View, was charged with criminal trespass, loitering or prowling and a city ordinance violation, according to Fayette County Jail records.
Peachtree City Police Department reports said the Morallion Hills homeowner flagged an officer at Crosstown Drive and South Peachtree Parkway at approximately 12:40 a.m., saying that he woke up to find a female who he identified as Jones standing over his bed. The man did not know Jones, reports said.
Reports said it was determined that Jones had entered the homeowner’s vehicle and used the garage door opener to gain entry to the house.
Jones was highly inebriated and was taken into custody, reports said.
In an incident a few hours earlier, Jones was at the Due South restaurant at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 16 and involved in a dispute.
Department spokesman Matt Myers said Jones was being loud and boisterous and harassing patrons at another table in a rude and profane manner.
Jones left the restaurant before police arrived, Myers said.
It is not known how Jones ended up at the Morallion Hills residence nearly three hours later.
