High school students in the Fayette County School System’s culinary arts program made such a great impression on guests at the Georgia Historical Records Advisory Council Archives Awards last year that the event’s organizers invited students enrolled in the program to cater the reception again this year.

Culinary arts students from the Centers of Innovation and Fayette County High School catered the 2016 event that was held at the Georgia Archives in Morrow. Guests enjoyed an array of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres including spinach dip with assorted chips, Georgia caviar, chicken satay with dipping sauces, mini stuffed peppers, fruit salad, a potato mini bar, bruschetta, mini chocolate domes, mini fruit tarts, lemon bars, and apple streusel cake.

The students are under the instruction of Chef Margaret June at the Centers of Innovation and Wendy Moore, Family and Consumer Science/Culinary teacher at Fayette County High.
