The Peachtree City Council on Nov. 17 approved the development agreement with Pulte Home Corporation/John Wieland Homes in Wilksmoor Village.
Explaining that the issue was a housekeeping matter, Planning and Development Director Mike Warrix said the updated agreement is required after the purchase of Wieland Homes by Pulte.
A Nov. 9 memo from Warrix said the development agreement for the 379-acre tract for the Everton subdivision was approved by the council in 2007.
“Because of the litigation following the approval of the annexation and zoning request, the development agreement for the Wieland tract was never signed or recorded,” Warrix said. “Since that time Pulte Home Corporation has acquired John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods. The development agreement has been modified to reflect the new ownership of the property. There are no changes to the plans initially submitted and approved for the property or any conditions adopted as a part of the rezoning of the property.”
Everton is expected to be the site of 475 single-family homes.
