Investigators with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a man who held up the Fidelity Bank in Fayetteville during the mid-afternoon hours of Nov. 2.
Sheriff Barry Babb said a black male entered the bank at 2:33 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money. The man produced a black semi-automatic handgun, Babb said.
The man left with an undisclosed amount of cash, said Babb.
The man is described as 6’-6’1” in height and weighing 220 pounds.
Babb said he was wearing a black warm-up suit with a white strip on the pant legs and a white strip on the shoulder of the warm-up jacket. He was also wearing a green or camo baseball cap.
The man left the bank in what is believed to be a white Ford van with plastic covering a busted passenger window, Babb said.
