Wiley Allen Turner, 91, of Fayetteville passed away October 2, 2016.
He was born in Douglasville, Ga. on July 8, 1925 to Wiley and Clara Turner. Mr. Turner proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a deacon at the National Heights Baptist Church where he was the handyman.
He is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Floyd P. Neupert, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joann; daughters, Brenda Neupert, Stephanie (Billy) Gaines; and son, Dr. Wendell (Beverly) Turner. He had eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will take place Wednesday, October 5, 2016, 2 p.m. at National Heights Baptist Church, Fayetteville with Dr. Brian Wright, Dr. Bill Scarbrough, and Dr. J.W. Wallis officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park.
The family received friends and family on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
