Grover Henry Twiggs, 80, of Fayetteville, passed away September 30, 2016. He was born in Blue Ridge, Ga. on June 30, 1936 to the late Jerry and Lucille Twiggs.
Mr. Twiggs worked at Ford Motor Company for 35 years at the Hapeville assembly plant as a pipefitter. He also proudly served in the United States Army and was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eloise “Pat” Twiggs; sons, Anthony (Jamalyn) Twiggs, Steven (Janet) Twiggs, and Eric Twiggs; sisters, Wanda Johnson, Jerrie Ann Newberry, Van McGowan, and Kathy Newman; grandchildren, Sara Twiggs, Hanna (Paul) Allen, Dalton Twiggs, and Olivia Twiggs.
A funeral service took place Monday, October 3, 2016 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Dr. Randy Wood officiating. Burial followed at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family received family and friends on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
