Charles Woodrow Johnson, 85, of Fayetteville, passed away September 24, 2016.

Charles was a member of Woolsey Baptist Church, was a bus driver for 10 years for the Fayette County Schools, and loved his farm and his church.

Charles is preceded in death by his wife Elaine and parents Jesse & Stella Johnson.

He is survived by his son Doug (Karen) Johnson; grandson Jacob (Stephanie) Johnson; granddaughters Hollis M. (William) Taylor and Kellis J. (Sean) Boland; five great-grandchildren; brother Sammy (Elaine) Johnson; and sister Carrie Lou (Dub) Summerall.

A funeral service took place Monday, September 26, 2016, at 2 p.m., at Woolsey Baptist Church, Fayetteville, with Rev. Chuck Chambers officiating. The family  received friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. A private family burial took place at Brooks Memorial Park, Brooks.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Autumn Village, 753 Covington Street, Jackson, Ga. 30233. The ladies there went above and beyond giving exceptional care to both Memaw and Pawpaw.
