Audrey Johnson Shaw, 85, of Fayetteville passed away on August 30, 2016.
She was a member of East Point Church of Christ for over 65 years. She was born on February 18, 1931 in Atlanta, Georgia to Clark and Abileen Johnson. Mrs. Shaw grew up in College Park/East Point area and married Warren Hugh Shaw in 1953. In 2009, she moved to Fayetteville and attended Fayetteville Church of Christ with her daughter. She was a quiet, meek, gentle and kind servant of God, as well as a very giving person. She was also a Sunday School teacher and elder’s wife.
Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Shaw; son, Glen Stephen Shaw; her parents; and her brother, Russell Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Kelly (Scott); her sister, Saundra Johnson; her grandchildren, Stephen Kelly, Eric Kelly and Joshua Kelly; many nieces and nephews.
Her graveside service was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at College Park Cemetery, College Park, Ga., with Dave Rogers officiating. The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday evening, September 2, 2016 at the funeral home.
