Providence United Methodist Church invites the community to a free Outdoor Movie Night from 6:30 – 10 p.m. this Friday, Aug. 19.

Providence’s new senior pastor Herb Flanders explains, “We’ll have activities for all ages like Ladder Ball, Corn Hole, Olympic Ring Toss, Archery and Horseshoes beginning at 6:30 p.m. It will be a fun evening and we hope to see lots of folks come out to enjoy family fun.”

The movie, which starts at 8:30 p.m. on a 25’ x 15’ blow up screen, will be Disney-Pixar’s “UP,” a family movie about the value of perseverance and love.

Flanders adds, “We are very appreciative of our neighbors at Heritage Christian Church, who are allowing golf carts to come through their parking lot and around the lake, and ask that everyone be respectful of their property.”

Those attending should bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on; food and drink coolers are allowed, with non-alcoholic beverages only.

There will be free popcorn and water, the cafe will be open for free hot beverages, and there will be an ice cream truck to purchase all kinds of cold, sweet treats.

Providence is at 592 Bernhard Rd. in southern Fayette County between Redwine Road and Ga. Highway 85.
