National Heights Baptist Church will host the Fayette Safety Summit on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Participants may register at www.fayettesafetysummit.com. Preregistration is recommended.
Classes will be offered for ages five years old and up. There will be no child care for children under 5 years of age.
Classes include active shooter, avoiding scams and cons, self defense, teen dating violence, anti-trafficking information, basic community preparedness presented by CERT (Community Emergency Response Training), CERT for Teens, as well as others.
Children will learn about the canine unit at the Sheriff’s department, basic safety skills, stranger danger tips, and others.
In addition to the classes, exhibits will be offered.
