Willard Lamar “Bill” Divins, of Peachtree City, passed away July 23, 2016 at the age of 89.
He was born in Bradford, Pa. to Howard and Alta Divins. He proudly served in the Army Air Corps. He was an engineer for Pave Mark, where he designed and worked on equipment for road striping. Bill had a passion for model trains and remote controlled cars and planes that he enjoyed sharing with many others while he was co-owner of The Hobby Stop in Peachtree City.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Nina Divins; daughter Linda Sue Divins; daughter Leslie Anne Gross; son Howard Sykes Divins; daughter Ellen Kaye Divins; eight grandchildren; 3 great-granchildren; and brother Carl Divins.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City. Pastor Fritz Wiese will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 until 11 a.m. at the church.
