Marlene May Tyson Graham, of Fayetteville, passed away July 15, 2016 at the age of 83.
She was born in Brookings, S.D., to Melvin and Martha Tyson. She married husband Howard, and together as best friends they raised four children. She loved taking care of her family and was a doting grandmother. They attended New Hope Baptist Church and were very involved with church and social activities. She was a great servant, and was always the first to fix a meal for anyone needing her loving attention.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Bradley Graham and sister Dorothy Groseclose.
She is survived by husband Howard; daughter Vickie (Bobby) Graham Wetherington of Daphne, Ala.; son Randy (Susan) Graham of Sharpsburg, Ga.; Linda (Ken) Graham Coggins of Smyrna, Tenn.; son David (Debbie) Graham of Cumming, Ga.; six granddaughters; 3 great-grandsons; and twin brother Marvin (Celia) Tyson.
The family received friends on Monday, July 18, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Southwest Christian Care, 7225 Lester Road, Union City, Ga. 30291.
