Larry S. Moore, 70, of Sharpsburg, Ga., formerly of Tennessee, passed away June 10, 2016.
Family will receive friends at Carl J Mowell & Son Funeral Home in Peachtree City, Ga. on June 17, 2016, at 2 p.m. followed by a Celebration of His Life at 3 p.m. Larry is survived by his sweetheart, best friend and wife of 26 years, Beverly Barber Moore, his brother Ronald Moore and Carol Springer of Tennessee, his children Susie Moore, Larry Moore Jr., Lisa and Robert Phillips and Bryan Milam, and two grandchildren, Jacob and Stephen.
While proudly serving his country in the Army during Vietnam, he earned a Purple Heart. Larry retired as a detective from the Atlanta Police Department and became an avid world traveler with Beverly. A passionate skydiver, he logged over 4700 jumps and held multiple world records. He was also a proud torch bearer for the 1996 Olympic Games.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Dystonia-foundation.org in honor of Larry’s brother.
