Buck Hardy of Peachtree City, Ga. passed away peacefully at home, Saturday, June 4, 2016. Buck was born in Birmingham, Ala. on March 17, 1928 and was raised in Birmingham; Atlanta, Ga.; and Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Buck graduated from Stetson University in Deland, Fla. Soon after graduating from Stetson, Buck served as a Cryptographer in the US Army during the Korean War, and then worked in sales for Westinghouse Electric for many years.
Buck was an avid golfer and devoted husband and father. Buck and Jane, his loving wife of 60 years, were married on New Year’s Eve 1955 on Miami Beach, where they lived for 25 years before moving to Birmingham, Ala. and Peachtree City.
Buck is also survived by daughter Cecile Berry Hardy and her fiancé George Korge of Jacksonville, Fla.; son John Keefe Hardy and daughter-in-law Beatriz Ochoa Hardy of Peachtree City; 3 grandchildren; and one brother William Hardy of Covington, Ga.
