Mrs. Myra Brown Mitchell of Hampton passed away April 10, 2016.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who faithfully served the Lord in all she did. She loved cooking big meals for her family and friends and spending time in her flower gardens. She lived each day loving her children and family and considered that her greatest accomplishment. She never met a person she didn’t love.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Richard Mitchell; her brothers, Wilson Brown, Fred F. Brown, Paul Brown and Woody Brown. She is survived by daughters, Gail (Billy) Swanson, Sherryl Piner, and Barbara (Ed) McNeely; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Byron (Margaret) Brown and Douglas Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lisbon Baptist Church, Fayetteville, with Reverend David Rathbun and Reverend Hinton Harris officiating. The burial will follow at Lisbon Baptist Church Cemetery, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends Monday, April 18, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
