Opening for summer arts intern

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners formed a Public Arts Committee in 2013 with the purpose of conducting discussions on ways to encourage public art throughout Fayette County, to find ways to use art to enhance the County’s reputation, to contribute to the civic environment, and to enrich the lives of citizens and visitors through the involvement of professional and amateur artists to integrate public artwork throughout Fayette County.

The Association of County Commissioners of Georgia is providing grant opportunities for Georgia counties “to defray the costs of internships for undergraduate students, graduate students and recent graduates employed by the County.”   

The County made application for this grant was awarded funds for the 2016 summer program for the Public Arts intern.

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners would like to notify all eligible and interested students that the Public Arts intern position is available.

The Board of Commissioners will be accepting applications with resumes for this position.  Applications can be obtained by visiting www.fayettecountyga.gov. The application is available through the “EMPLOYMENT” link from the homepage.
