Georgia Department of Transportation limits construction lane closures for Easter weekend. Projects to improve highway infrastructure throughout metro Atlanta will continue overnight with the exception of a daytime closure. Motorists are advised to exercise caution by reducing speed while driving through work zones.
The traveling public is encouraged to call 511 or consult www.511ga.org before departing for real-time information on work status and traffic conditions.
Planned work this weekend is as follows:
I-285
· On the eastside of the Perimeter, one northbound and one southbound lane will close between the I-20 interchange (exit 46) and the I-85 interchange (exit 33) from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday.
State Routes
· All westbound lanes on SR 10/Freedom Parkway will close at Boulevard. The closure includes the westbound SR 10/ Freedom Parkway entrance and entrance ramps to I-75/I-85 interchange and Andrew Young International Boulevard. The closure will take place from 9 a.m., until 4 p.m., Saturday.
· On Georgia (State Route) 400, a traffic pace will take place between Glenridge Connector and Lenox Road from 7 p.m., until 10 p.m., Saturday. The traffic pace may require motorists to drive 5-10 mph to allow contractors to work across the interstate lanes.
