John Turner of Peachtree City was honored Jan. 30 at the Archbishop’s Banquet for Catholic Education.
“Coach Turner was honored for his leadership, humility and integrity,” according to a statement. “Many of his friends and loved ones, including his mother Mary, were present to share this special evening with him.”
Turner began the athletic programs at both Sophia Academy in Atlanta and Our Lady of Victory in Tyrone. He is pictured with Archbishop Wilton Gregory and Superintendent Diane Starkovich.
